High-performance oil mist separator

3nine’s oil mist separator - Clara - purifies air from the oil mist generated by the cutting fluids used in metalworking. Clara separates the oil mist over 50 times more effectively than conventional oil mist separators and handles all kinds of oil mist, whether from cutting fluid emulsions or straight oils. For the first time there is a technology that combines high purification with low maintenance - even in tough applications with high concentrations of oil mist and solid particles. Moreover, Clara acts as an intelligent fan, with a suction force that eliminates the need for extra fan systems.

3nine’s oil mist separator is dimensioned for flows up to 1000 m3/h and achieve purification levels up to 99.9%. The exact level of purification depends on the sizes of the particles entering the machine. Even if the level can vary somewhat, it meets established requirements on the working environment by broad margins.

The bars in the graph (above) show the amount of oil mist remaining after purification with Clara for various machine groups at General Motors. For example in machine group 1, which has relatively large particles, the degree of purification will be higher than for machine group 3, which has much smaller particles.
